As a natural light headshot photographer, sessions take place indoors using available light, or outdoors on location. Before your shoot, a quick phone call to discuss your goals for this photography session is mandatory. The consult is to help us prepare a session that fits your goals perfectly and provides photos that will land you work.
Wardrobe
The goal of a headshot is to capture your confidence and emphasize your face and your eyes, not the clothing. Layering outfits work to frame the face and flatter the line of your neck. Carefully select layers that add color, texture and visual interest.
Theatrical Headshots
Plays, TV shows, and films require theatrical headshots. It's important to see the layers of an actors personality in a theatrical headshot. Theatrical headshots typically show a little more emotional depth than commercial ones.
Commercial Headshots
Commercial headshots are usually smiling, and shot from a more relaxed angle and in more relaxed clothing. A friendly picture is what these casting directors are looking for. Soft colors and more natural makeup are usually best for a commercial look. Colors that enhance your eyes could be a perfect choice.
Hair & Make-Up
Professional makeup is not required for kids and teens under 12 but highly recommended for all girls age 15 & up. Hair and makeup services will be booked for you. The fee is $250 and is paid directly to the stylist on the day of your session. Investing in a professional hair and makeup artist will provide you with a look that is polished and fresh before your session begins. The combination of good lighting and great makeup, helps to even out skin tone, reduce shine, and define eyes and lips in the most natural way. A professional stylist will know how to bring out your best features and minimize any imperfections.
After Your Session
Within 7- 10 days after your session you will receive a link to an online gallery. You can share this gallery with your agency or management, etc. Depending on the length of your session, this gallery usually contains anywhere from 75 - 125 images. Final formatted headshots are $25.00 each. Once selected, final images will be formatted with the actors name, retouched and enhanced just enough to stand out from the rest. At this point you can place an order to have reproductions made or you may download the high-resolution files immediately from your gallery.
